What Is It?

The image below shows something that may be important to some of you. It was enough of a pain to me personally that I decided that it was worth the time to investigate whether there was any hope of solving the long enduring pain it has caused.

Some of you may recognize it instantly from another build thread on a different forum. The method doesn't require any mathematics for it's solution just some clever techniques that work..., which is what counts.

Now which of the following is the correct clue?

1. Beehive model with freshly fallen snow.
2. Tower of Babel.
3. Duesenberg headlamp case.
4. It's hiding part 44.

It seems likely to be #3 but it could also be:

a) Practice for making a seamless Bf109 spinner (hole for cannon)
b) Test run for a model minie ball

Your trial efforts are always cutting edge Gil. Love 'em.

As you mentioned the Duesenberg in the BMW Sidecar outfit today I guess it has to be 3.

I give it to #3 too.

But... no math? How come? I know there is a math formula about those. Are you going to show us your method?

Given those choices and Carl's detective work, I go for 3, but if I had had no clues, I would have suggested it was the beginning of a prop spinner.

I recall as a kid getting some flowerpot craft kits that were like this. Flat rolls of paper that you pushed into pot shapes then coated with the provided lacquer.

I'll go with "hiding part 44" tho'

Part 44 Is Correct

Shrike is the first to guess the right clue. The part number known the model remains to be named. Next clue:

1. Duesenberg SSJ.
2. Bf 109 G.
3. P-40C.
4. BAC Lightning.
