Better light and the possibility of cat proofing your desk, that would be a double win. Need to check them out.

Well I modeled tonight for 4 hours under the new light.

Really excellent - could see everything clearly and no heat or eye strain! Glad I spent the exorbitant sum for the bulb at the end of the day...! Recommended - highly.

Here are some pics...

First the new bulb.

Second the lit-up work area - a really nice shade of light. Note the ancient 30 years old lamp still going strong and made out of steel and nuts and bolts!

The bulb incidentally looks very bright in the photo - not so in actual fact. Pleasant to work with and very cool as well - gives off no heat which is nice!

Looks like I'm going to have to get an old lamp from a second hand store and get a LED like you've got. These specialty versions I have, once again, don't have any replacement bulbs available anywhere. Home Depot sells several different versions of the bulb like you have!
