Problems to make tracks.

Hello everybody.

I would like a little help.
I'm building a Hetzer from Modelik tank and need a little help in caterpillars.
As we can see the tracks of the Hetzer (first photo) are printed to create the impression of being in 3D, as shown.
'm Qurendo know if you have as I enter details in those bands so that they are more realistic.
I thought about printing the page again and cut the inner parts of the tracks where this lines in red (second photo) and glue a strip on the other.
Do you think that would work.

So I'm with this problem, I built the tank and now I do not know how to get the tracks detailed and real.

I admit I saw those tracks that each link must be mounted individualmete, but I want to try that in a next model, now I want something a little simpler.

Thanks and regards.

I've built this kit.

There is a thread here on this forum, or one here:

UK Paper Models • View topic - Modelik Hetzer 1:25 scale Nr. 18/10

Track parts 94 and 95 go back to back, take care to line them up.

Although the kit does not call for it I would laminate the grouser bars (part 97) onto the same thickness card. This should help give the tracks a bit more of a 3D look.

You could just do this extra work on the visible postions of the track.

It's a nice little kit that builds up well.

Tim

I read your thread thru on the UK forum, Tim. Very nice job. I have this model too, and will build it someday (probably). I hope it will come out as good as yours did.
