Printing at a different scale

I have a number of kits that I've scanned in the past, and I thought maybe I would print them out at a different scale/size and rebuild them again. My query is.....which program is the best one for printing at different scales by size/ ratio and percentages? I've tried Elements 6 with no success, and I wonder if there is a better one to use. I'm printing with an HP C4280 all in one printer.

Thanks........... Malc

On my Canon and Epson that is a function under printer properties when I start the print process. I don't know if HP has that same capability.

HP has it, but its in the printer application, can't remember the name off hand. You can also do easily out off Photoshop.

Being rather fond of "Big" models I use Infranview a free program available at the Kim Komando website to upscale the ones I want to "blow up".

As a side note, if you get any Gremir Models, Micheals' program that is included with the purchase of each model allows you to increase or decrease the scale that you print them out at quite painlessly. Just as a lark, I printed out one of the sheets for his HMS Onslow destroyer at 1/72 scale it comes to about five feet long! It did take 9 sheets to print out the one page of hull forms to determine that. But with some dedicated printing time it would be possible to print out the entire kit in that manner and make up a rather monster sized HMS Onslow or any of the other kits that he sells.

Gremir

That's interesting Jay... is the software shareware, or is it only available when you buy a kit from Gremir? I'll have a look at Irfanview too.......

Thanks........ Malc

DataViewer is available only as a viewing/printing software for the GreMir models.

Jay,
You COULD print any model at 1:1 scale if you had enough patience, ink and card :D

I have considered that but I am afraid my neighbors might object to me knocking down walls when I get to making the inner hull forms and storage of completed models would be a real hassle.:D

Not sure but go to the FINE SCALE Model SITE and look up their scale conversion chart.

I'll try to get back to you with the exact page heading, it tells you how to enlarge as well as shrink and how to discover the percentage needed for it when copying on a machine.

Thanks Henry, I'll have a look there .... I've moved onto an Epson printer now and must look to see if it can be done on it.

Correct me if wrong.
But Adobe Reader 11x (freebie download) will happily scale up ANY pdf .
Tiling / poster printing it in the process.
Try it?
