Choosing a Printer

After a rather depressing day attempting to professionally print some card models, I now find myself looking for a cheap personal printer. The Epson XP-410 seems to meet my needs:

Amazon.com: Epson Expression Home XP-410 Small-in-One All-in-One Wireless Inkjet Printer (C11CC87201): Electronics

1) Cheap (< $100 US for printer and a decent supply of replacement ink)
2) Cheap (not OEM) ink and ink systems readily available
3) Since it will print rolled paper, it should print 8.5x17 card stock without issue
4) Good reviews with regard to print quality

I also looked at the Epson Workforce printers, but it appears most will not accept anything larger than 8.5x11,

I seek a reality check. Why would this printer NOT work specifically for card models (US Letter / US Legal / A4 format)?

One additional feature you may want to research for printers would be is it possible that the printer model can be readily converted to accept a continuous ink supply (CIS) system. Unless that's what you meant by #2.

I bought a Canon Pixma MX922 because it is a printer that can use a CIS system.

You may want to consider Brother, their printers have built in CIS system and i think they are quite inexpensive

At least two continuous ink systems exist for the XP-410. I wanted that option in case my printing needs drastically increase.

Brother offers a few low cost printers, but the ones I looked at received comparatively bad reviews with regards print quality. If someone suggests a specific model, I will look at it.

Replying to this a bit late. I moved to a new state and city and didn't bring a printer along. Now I'm a bit troubled because I can't do any card models! Looking at places like staples to print winds up being like 17 bucks a model, and I can't even reprint it if I screw it up. Anybody know of a cheaper print services that'll also print on card stock?
