Cheap cutting pad ?

I lost all my stuff in a fire. Tools, computer, printer, the works. I want to start a printed Polish kit. I'm going to get top quality blades: but I'm wondering if there's a cheap or no cost substitute for the poly-whatever cutting pad.

Pity that you don't live in the Netherlands..... €1.69 for an A3 cutting mat. They last me around 6 months of extensive use...... I buy 3 at a time and chuck them away when used up.

Maybe check out a Dollar Tree or Big Lots and see if there are any place mats that would work as cutting mats.

Visit the IPMC this Saturday and I will give you a used cutting mat.
Actually, if I know for sure you can make it, I'll bring you tools too.

Look at ACE Hardware. The have cheap flexible cutting mats in the kitchen department for less than 3 bucks for a two pack. I bought several to use in the kitchen and on my boat.

I used to use old yellow pages directories as cutting pads and when the pages got too ragged I would tear them off. Presto, a new cutting pad surface!

Any store which has kitchen supplies will have inexpensive plastic cutting mats (Walmart, Kmart, large drug stores, etc.)

They work well for me.
