Wicked sharp detail scissor

Dr. Slick Razor Scissors, my vote for the best scissors ever for cutting into very small detailed areas, they came from a fly fishing store. They are very strong, durable, have tension adjustment. Another thing that is A+ about them is the finger loops are sized for a man's hands which means comfortable cutting for long work sessions. They truly are wicked sharp all the way up to the stilletto sharp tip so you do need to be careful not to puncture yourself. There are various places to buy them online. Size choice of 4" or 5", which makes them good for a portable work kit, save the tip protector for storage.

Finally no more of this:. I'm going to try a pair and hope that I don't stab myself. Someone needs to have invented this a long time ago, maybe in a safety scissors version for people like me

I saw some similar to those. Small razor sharp scissors. They were on the sewing crafts aisle at walmart. Not too expensive, I didn't buy them, but wish I had.

I use these embroidery scissors for most of my work ...

I occasionally resort to a knife for internal cuts or slots, but the scissors get into most tight corners. The blades are long enough to cut long straight lines and slim enough to give good vision for cutting curves too.

Made in China, but probably available cheaply in any sewing shop. Just look for the distinctive Stork shape. They've been around for donkey's years. I remember my Granny using them when I was a kid.

Grandmas stork scissors and the Walmart knockoff version of Gingher embroidery scissors or even the real version of the Gingher scissors is not the equal of this pair. I should know as I have owned those types as well.

Grandma's stork scissors are made for a women's fingers. The finger loop holes are not comfortable for a man to use for longer periods of cutting time.

Someone is always going to be the first to introduce a fantastic tool to a group that will set the bar higher than ever before. They are not yet widely known in the craft market as the only place they have been marketed is to the fly tying groups. Just be aware there are other versions of Dr. Slick scissors around but the pair you want is the Dr. Slick Razor. The other versions are good but are a still an 8 compared to being a 10.

Dr Slick razor scissors are also available from Amazon (UK)

Amazon.co.uk: Dr slick razor scissors

But be warned they are not cheap!

Stork embroidery scissors are also available ...

Amazon.co.uk: embroidery scissors

but I'm sure I paid a lot less for mine at the wife's favorite Haberdashery.

Whilst researching the scissors, I stumbled across these cheap surgical instruments ...

Medical Equipment & Surgical Equipment Supplies

I use the Forcep clamps a lot (They're like locking tweezers) and just thought others might be interested.

Thanks for that tip!
I have been using Fiskars craft scissors,
http://www.amazon.com/Fiskars-Curved.../dp/B000B7OSS2

and the straight version but with the padded grips

I would rate them 8/10
so I will definitely get a pair of these and try it out.
