I always make a thick paper tube just a fraction smaller than the model tube itself to push a reinforcement ring into place. A bit like a piston. To get them out after a misfitting I use something like a knitting needle to push one side and then rotate them 90º in the tube. You then only have to squeeze a little to let them fall out.

couldnt find these in nz so i bent the end of tweezers i had spare.does the trick

Other stuff from them

I didn't need the tweezers but they have great prices and lots of other paper helps. Ordered 4 items including the 9x12 mat and it came to less than 25 bucks with shipping. Quite reasonable prices.
