the #11 blades, made popular by X-acto, and now reproduced by loads of other companies , are the mainstay of the hobby knife world.
they are flexible, tough(depending on the manufacturer), and allow for fine cuts and heavy cuts. And the #11 blade along with all other smaller blades, universally fit in the Type A handle(and variations) and they are easy to change out for a fresh blade

Even the best blade, the devil will take on paper after a few pulls.
I use simple solutions and materials that can be found around. Sharpening takes one minute see photos Regards, Henryk

I like the #11 because of the very sharp and narrow point........I can cut some very small parts with them because I can see the very point cutting, and not have my view blocked by a blade with a larger (wider) tip
Rick beat me to the Brand name........ I switched from X-Crapto's a long time ago in a forum in a far far off galaxy............ it might have been a bad batch; but every one of them (at least 10 in a row out of a pack of 100) the tip snapped off......... the other 90 blades went into the garbage dumpster and I ain't bought anything with that name on it since. At 9 buck US for a 100 blades I don't have the patients to sharpen them.......... yeah I know....... too dang lazy. |

What I do with scalpels is to break off the stub on the tang of the blade that sticks out. Be careful and use two small pliers to break it off. Once that is done the blade will fit into a standard blade handle.
You can get them on eBay usually 100 for $10 with free shipping. Jim Nunn

No more Pink anodized Aluminium
My $2 knife, now a prized tool. Turned a nice Wenge handle to replace the Pink aluminium
