I cheat a bit and sometimes gently apply a coat of Johnson's Clear Wax using my airbrush. It works well on my plastic aircraft, and I tried it out on a scale paper job - effects were really good, surface got a semi-gloss coat, was dry in seconds, and the plane actually became waterproof ! I've got some thoughts about using it to make a Sunderland or Savoia S-21. Its also going to be used on a Flitetest R/C sailplane as well.

Hey guys!
If you spray a finished model is it ok to spray transparent parts plastic parts (windows, cockpits etc)? Would some sprays melt or fog them? I don't have an airbrush which limits me to cans. |

I would say to be on the safe side, its not ok without testing the spray on the plastic.
