using modelling clay as a filler
hi guys
so i was experimenting with Jovi modelling air dry clay a while ago and found a big lump that was completely dry i tried submerging it into water for a while so it would come back to life again but to no avail however i noticed that it forms a really thin putty on top of it so i applied the putty to a model i'm working on and to my amazement it doesn't water the model down nor does it shrink (well it shrinks but just a really tiny bit) and it made an even surface filling most gaps after a small bit of sanding so i grinded down some powder clay off the big lump and add a couple of drops of water and it had the same effect don't no if you guys know this but i thought it was a good cheap filler (about 15 LE - 1.5 USD per 250 gm) i'm grinding it manually but i'm sure a power tool would be much quicker in turning it to powder also you can use it with drying it in it's original state it works the same way it would require a bit more working around since the clay is not as malleable as the water-powder combination hope i helped someone PS. a warning though i used this on card i don't think it'll have nice effects on paper ultra stone

Is this an oil based clay? or do you know for sure it's water based?
