Bumpers and spare tire installed.

I have a set of inexpensive wood dapping dowels with 24 different diameters that help in making cylinders.

Just call any damage due to glue as road wear and monster attacks.

Almost to the end of the trail folks!

Sides glued on, spare wheel, bumpers.

The discussion about the actual color of the Scooby van
being green versus blue, and differences in how people see
variations of color was interesting.

Because as I remember first seeing the show it was "ALL GRAY" to me...
we only had a B&W T.V. Didn't know what the colors were until seeing the gang on the comic book covers.

Well mine's definitely Blue and Yellow, but my youngest Rugrat (who watches Scooby Doo every day) instantly recognised it

I'm getting there. In fact I've overstepped a little and put the chassis in to make it a little sturdier to handle, before fitting the bumpers, etc to the outside. And because it's already claimed by a Rugrat, I've beefed up the chassis a little bit.

Johnny, it's a real pleasure knowing that you're getting back in the game. Sure, it may be only 10 minutes at a time but it wasn't that long ago that your modeling time was ZERO. You've come a long way my friend and I have every confidence that you'll make it the rest of the way.
Your friend,
elliott

Dance, to answer your questions.

Matt paper, laser printer.

I normally just brush the excess glue with a wet finger. But without the varnish. Ugh!

So it goes. Moral of the story - stick with what works for you. For me anyway. Have more or less repaired the damage with a watercolour pencil....

I hate to say it, but you can't beat regular cardstock and inkjet printing.
Might not have the gloss, or the sharp photo quality,
but it is bright, colourful, durable and a lot more forgiving.
And cheaper.

Glad to hear you have solutions for problems that arise.
Thats what its all about...finding your own methods and tricks.

Playing catch up here. Trying to complete my "Honey Do List" first. Will do the bumpers and spare tire tonight!

Spare tire made and on. I've not made a tire without tabs so this was a first for me. I find this way makes a real good looking tire.

That spare tire makes a disproportionate contribution to the character of this little van! I didn't have any unusual problems getting mine on.

All caught up, bumpers and spare tire installed. The spar tire build was easy when you follow Dave's steps (and have the correct size dowel).

Thanks,
Gary
