The circumference will be the length of the edge of the tube piece. Then get radius using r=C\2pi. The diameter will be rX2. I think.

Roll the tube and stick it through a circle template. You don't need to do math. Pi is for eating.

I would have to find my circle templates...I think they are shoved in a box between my 8 track tapes and full size laser disc copy of "Stripes".

While flat, measure the side of the tube that will be circular when you roll it. Divide that number by pi (or 3.14). That will be the diameter of your tube. The radius will be half that number. If you need that.

thanks.makes perfect sense now.guessing i then divide diameter by 2 to give me radius to set compass to.whoops sorry just read second line of your post.thats the answer to my question i guess

for the first question, I remember back when color xerox machine meant running the work through with different color toner....
registration was never that good, so if a color was wanted up to a black line, the colored art was made bigger than needed. I have seen the same method for printing on both sides. I had a Silhouette, and always thought I would do something similar, place the cut lines inside the color. No black lines at all! But I figured out I just like scissoring too much and never got to it. |

Also about the first question.
2 sided scanners are also a thing, and would probably line up well. You would have to expirement if you get bored. |
