Great idea! It's amazing how hobbyists always have ways of making life easier to cope with.

I use one of the little Elmer's glue bottles with the twist tip. It sits upside down in a pill bottle waiting...
I also found these crocodile clips on the net. I am working on a set. They have more grip. (Grin)

I filed the first one, but found I could use a shop bench grinder to make the job much easier... just have to be careful and work slowly. A dremel tool with a sanding drum or grinding disk would probably work very well also. Handiest clamps you'll ever have are smooth jawed hemostats... Later! OL J R

As an alternative to filing you could use a short piece of heat-shrinks. Those remain slightly soft after settling down and in case of neccessity can be easily removed.

Heat shrinks are really useful - use them to ID various tools, as well as as Pgo suggested.

Wrinkles
I am finding that thinner papers wrinkle when using larger amounts of glue - such as stacking a layer behind smaller parts. Is there a waterless option somewhere?
the situation: I am working on a biplane model that has struts and little wing supports and landing gear. the smallness of these models is maddening! |
