Pfalz looks good. Mebbe you need to do WW1 stuff without canopies!

Okay - so I am going to take all of this great advice and start another project. I started on cutting up the F4 but decided to continue on and learning as I go. The drop tanks are proving to be interesting. My next canopy attempt will be on an A-4 Skyhawk. I though that would be a fun jet to make as the first time I ever saw the Blue Angels they were flying A-4s (yes, I am that old!). If the canopy goes bad I have some Nieuport 17s to build. Again, thanks to all.

Ha! I saw the Blues fly F11F Tigers and the TBirds in F-100's.

I bow to the master. I have only seen F 100s as part of a National Guard unit and never an F11F in flight. I have seen a B-2 bomber flyover. That was creepy. The really don't seem to fly, but it feels like they ooze through the air. That is not a model I have in the to be built inventory.

As a young boy we lived near Offutt AFB which was SAC HQ at that time. My Uncle was a sergeant assigned to Gen. LeMay's staff. On a few occasions I saw B-36's fly over and lots of B-47's and 52's. This airbase was also used for auto races which was a recruiting tool for SAC.

I too remember when the Blue Angels used F11s. But then I remember when there were KB-29s, KB-50s, C-124s, C-119s, AT6s, F-86s, etc still operational. I'm only 68 but those were the planes of my childhood and the sound of a radial engine still excites me to no end.

I am also 68 and I can still here the distinctive drone of the B-36's.
