lighting models
I've just found a (new to me) lighting system it looks as if it would work with almost any model but especially Buildings.
The circuit is made of thin sticky copper and very clever lights. Here is a video of how to make a greeting card with lights. It's quite a long clip and the lighting is at the end. I was very impressed with the artist's work! https://www.lawnfawn.com/products/ch...em-starter-kit She is using a starter kit but other sites show there is more than just a starter kit. One item is a circuit to make the lights flash - which would be useful in my current project. I couldn't find any thread about this so if anyone has tried it I'd be interested in their comments. This is VERY interesting! Could be the final method to easily bring light to our models...
I'll follow this one, hope that someone has some experience to share... |

Nice idea. Certainly easier to customize than soldering wires and having to determine what size resister to use.

Paper circuits are the hot STEAM class in a lot of maker spaces.
The down side to this type of system in building models is that over time the sticky labels will dry out and fall off the parts they are applied to. There are no "resistor" stickers because the kits match the LEDs with the coin cell they use (3v battery to 3v LED). You are limited to the number of LEDs you can power in these type of circuits, and will find adding a flashing LED in the circuit If you don't mind some simple soldering you can buy a role of copper tape at Hobby Lobby (in the stain glass area) and make your own paper circuits. For ideas and templates simply Google "Paper Circuits" You can also read all about them here: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials...paper-circuits |
