Free Heavy Cardstock... courtesy of the US Mail!
The many Advertisements & Flyers that are sent out in Bulk (Junk) Mail make great material for us Card Modelers. They can be used for internal Bracing, for Formers & Stringers, and for Laminating small Parts that need to be thicker. They range in Thickness between .2 & .3mm, & using a UHU glue stick they seem to glue OK, even with the glossy Printing!
As always, Results may vary based on the Adhesives & Methods used. With the Mid term Elections coming up in the US soon, mailboxes will be filled with lots of Cardstock, & it's Free! Just thought I'd pass this along for anyone who's interested. Have an Awesome Day!

That is a great Idea! I got several advertisements for satellite internet and TV yesterday on large cards. They will work great given their size! And you are right... soon the political flyers will be flying in!

One thing I forgot to mention is that I tried some Score lines directly on the Printing, and it had a tendency to flake around the Score line. That's why this stuff is probably better for Internal reinforcement (won't be seen) or for Laminating small parts. I did glue small pieces of both 67# & 110# Cardstock directly on the heavier stuff, on the Printing. It didn't show through.

The printing definitely comes off - sometimes just the oil or glue on your fingers can pick it up. I'd be hesitant about using the political flyers under thinner white paper; it'll probably show through.
Good idea for inner bracing though!
