How to bond cardstock to soda can aluminum?

I am constantly trying new things and testing different construction methods to see if I can improve my builds. I know some forum members are like me in this respect, and I enjoy reading about others' successes. I was intrigued by a forum member (whose name slips my mind) who had success using plastic kitchen wrap to laminate layers of cardstock. It's a great idea and does work. I was wondering, though, whether one can bond cardstock to soda can aluminum in a similar manner. This might be a way to add a bit of detail to a model, such as metal panels on the front of a WW1 fighter plane.

I've tried to bond a cardstock pattern to the soda can aluminum with no success so far. The plastic wrap will not stick to the aluminum, even when I rough up the aluminum with a bit of sandpaper. The cardstock and plastic bond well, but not the plastic and the metal.

Has any fellow modeler tried this with success?

Try any kind o0f spray glue. Use permanent bond type. Spray both sides let dry for 30 seconds or so then roll both pieces together. Works great for me. Just know that the two pieces must be aligned though you get no room for errors once the two sides touch each other. Check Ebay for good deals on spray glue too
