work bench

hello all,

had to put modelbuilding on hold for a life-changing event, the good kind! new job and relocation across the country meant i had to tear down my workbench. now i want to resume where i left off but first, i have to rebuild my space. this is what i had before.

i had to toss all the 'shelving' in the move. i would like to recreate a similar setup but i don't have access to the cardboard 'boxes' you see in the picture. i am wondering if any of you know of a commercially available shelving unit in this style, basically a unit with rows of shelves 4 to 5 inches wide by 4 to 5 inches tall. something that a modelmaker/crafty/miniature collector would use. if not i could always build exactly what i want but that will become a project by itself. i want to get back to model building without too much prep. by the way, i am in the usa and looking to buy locally or on-line.

thanks

Dear a380:
Look to harbor freight they have stack-able bins in different sizes
Good luck,
Miles

Google “desktop shelf” — a company called Wayfair seems to have a number of similar items, and other companies do as well.

The tugboat looks great. Where did you get such an interesting plastic case usually they are just Square corners?

You could also use stackable milk crates as shelf units.
