"Printer abuse" seems to be a touchy subject. My printer works just fine with letter, photo, and cardstock media. I give cardstock sheets a little help to get "around the bend" and I've been doing it to this printer for 2 or 3 years without any noticeable ill effects. I won't buy replacement parts for a printer that has already lasted past its "use by" date. I'll buy a new printer when this one quits. I'm rather sorry I brought it up.

Why would it be?!! Be that as it may, myself, Airdave and the two Mikes all just provided suggestions, possible ideas etc by way of attempting to help! -------------------------------- US Index Paper refers to board (yes used for "Index" cards), but also used for folders, covers etc. To quote Lifewire USA, who have a nice explanation... Choosing Index for a Print Project Index has a smooth, hard surface and comes in three weights: 90 lb., 110 lb. and 140 lb. These weights are determined by weighing 500 sheets of the index in its basic size of 25.5 inches by 30.5 inches. Specify the lighter-weight 90 lb. index when you are designing brochures or return email cards because the lighter weight saves on mailing costs. The 110 lb. index is more suitable for folders, tabs and index cards, while the 140 lb. weight is for heavy-weight print projects.
