Cheers Rick. I got as far as putting an upside-down tube in the basket, but by the time I'd successfully opted out of all the Premium offers, they wanted to charge more for delivery than the price of the tube. It took a further few minutes to figure out how to remove the object from the basket and sign out. I'm reasonably sure I haven't spent anything with them, but you can never be sure with Amazon.

I saw some holders routered the diameter of the bottle made of wood.
The person making them charged $6.00 per stand. I use VK style myself, but keep losing the the little cap for the spout. Jeff |

Neither my local Walmart or craft stores carry the upside down tube. I ended up ordering one from Amazon and will refill it, lol.
Here's my earlier solutions, I actually glued the spout covers into the makeshift bases so I can one hand it. I don't have to take the tip off and on

Here is an example of pricing that I have seen sometimes on Amazon.
The prices are for Aleene's Turbo Tacky Always Ready glue (the upside down bottle). One bottle is $7.28 however the listing for a pack of 2 is $49.95, pack of 3 is $74.95, pack of 4 is $99.95, and a pack of 5 is $119.95. So who would actually click on one of those multipack buttons instead of clicking on the one bottle button and increasing the number of bottles ordered? There is even another listing on a different page with no packs, just the single bottle, for $6.92. Again you could just increase the number you are ordering. Strange.

Just to clarify...the "upside down" bottle is not restricted to the Turbo Tacky.
I only use "original" Tacky Glue and it comes in the upside down bottle. Personally, I have tried most of the Aleenes glues and found them to be considerably more expensive (compared with the original) but less effective, and more frustrating to use. I especially don't like how thick some of them are, or how hard they are to squeeze out of the bottle! The Turbo grabs faster (because its so thick and sticky) but it seems to take a long time to dry. And the clear glue took way too long to dry, and it wrinkles papers and card. Nope...the original works just fine... especially if you get the hang of applying less glue to the surface and working a bit faster. Spread a thinner even layer and you'll find the bond is quicker and stronger. But don't hesitate, because you have a lot less time to position parts.

I have been half watching this thread... I looked up and here is my bookshelf.
I must have put the 4 oz. bottle here when refilling the little bottle I like. Behind is the 8 oz. bottle my better half found on Amazon. |

This has been my method for dealing with the bottle as the level of glue goes down. (Or, I'll use a book, or the frame of my work tray, or anything that props the end up a little).

Well ... after changing my password again ( Seems I have to do this every time I open AMAZON) I started to order an upsidedown Aileene's bottle, but without signing up for a Prime account, they wanted more for p&p than they did for the product. So I gave up and logged out without a purchase ... or so I thought ...
Following day I got an email to say the bottle would arrive today and welcoming me to my Prime account. So I stayed schtum an' say'd nothin' until the bottle was delivered today. Very nice, everything good??? Weeeel no ... there's still that Prime Account subscription to squash before they start charging silly money for it. So ... I try to log in to my account, but again the robot won't accept my password. So I have to go all through the "Forgot Password" ... wait for the email for the one-off code, then go through the "Change Password" routine to once again change my password back to what it has always been, and finally gain access to the Cancel subscription routine. It ain't easy to find, but I've had a bit of practice at this. So ... end of saga? No way Jose ! but after a five email conversation with a robot today, I do beleive I may have succeeded in cancelling the Trial subscription when it expires in a months time. We shall see.
