Tacky Glue annoyance stopped

I heard about Aleene's Tacky Glue on this forum and subsequently tripped over a bottle at Walmart. Since then I have used very little Elmer's White Glue. I do however find it quite annoying to wait for the glop to fall to the tip so it can be squeezed out, especially after I have used the first third or so of the bottle.

I used a bit of paper card tech to make a stand which holds the bottle of Aleene'[s tip down and ready to squeeze a drop when needed.

I am surprised that you didn't find this version of the bottle at Walmart

They have been selling this version for the past couple of years
I have been using this version for the past couple of months

I haven't seen those, Rick.

I just leave mine in a tall coffee mug, tip down

They have been selling the stand on the cap bottles for years, you say? Well that explains why the glue in my older bottle is so darn thick :-)

I have not seen those upside down Aleene's glue bottles either.
Here is what I use:

It is a chunk of styrofoam packing that I hollowed out to accept the top of the glue bottle.
The two tall things are watercolor brushes with medium and small tips. You fill them with water and use them with the paint.
There are also a plastic toothpick that I use to apply and spread the glue and a hardwood dowel that has one end kind of sharpened and is used to score fold lines.

There ya go, Kevin ... Cheap as chips from Wish ... https://www.wish.com/search/painting...n=35&share=web

I've got a full set of nine. You CAN fill them with different colours of water paint, but I find it best to just fill them with plain water and use poster paints on a palette. That way the brushes are self-cleaning and can be used for different colours or mixed colours quite rapidly. I suppose you could fill them with spirit to use oil based paints, but I've not tried that.

I should point out to y'all that to shop at WISH you do have to register. Doing it through PayPal you do not have to give Card details though. I've been shopping there for a couple of years now and have found them to be excellent. Refunds are processed easily, often too easily. as I've had several timed out deliveries refunded, only to get the item appear out of the mists some months later. The only downside to shopping through Wish is the up to two month delivery wait. But China is a long way away from UK, and with the world wide transport restrictions going on now, a lot of stuff is sent by rail rather than air or sea.
