1:50 Clone Trooper (Phase I)

This is a requested retexture of my 1:50 Stormtrooper by hawkman67, as per the discussion thread here: Sean Kelly's Snowspeeder.

I've done little to no editing of the Stormtrooper model, so the build is extremely similar, although I've removed the stocked blaster and sized the E11 up a little for easier handling/posing.

Not having a functioning printer, I can't show completed pictures yet, but here are some sample renders from the build as well as Stormtrooper samples to give you an idea of the posability of the models.

The prints include a full page (6) of Private figures (white) and a second page of officer colorings, 1 Captain (yellow), 1 Commander (red) (show above), and 2 Lieutenant (blue) and Sergent (green) figures.

I have considered plans for a Phase II set, but I will hold off until the Paper Protagonist is ready and complete.

The model is uploaded and currently awaiting approval. If for some reason I don't get the upload approved, I will post a link to an off site location.

i think i will use two copies for each trooper, using the second copy to highlight the details and textures. also make the limbs a little thicker.

looking forward to this set, thanks Sean!

Awesome, I'd love to see your builds. Do keep in mind though that this was really v.1 of the Paper miniature series. I hope to rerelease the whole set under the new format, which will provide much greater detailing in 3d of things like armour elements.

Ok, i finally managed to build ONE of this. This trooper started out as a private, and literally got field promoted first to sargent, then again to commander.

Planning on to build ten more for a LAAT. Thanks Tirick for this kit!

Hopefully when the squad is finished I can figure out how to focus my digi cam on tiny objects in a consistent manner, LOL, sorry about pic qualities, but you can see this kit can be as good as you are willing to make it.

Wow! The way that you have modified the Clone trooper up is nearly exactly how I will be designing the new models. I imagine that will be easier for you, as the cutouts will be intended and sized to be placed that way, with appropriate under-colorings.
Incredible work!

Looking forward to the new figures, Sean.
In the meantime, I printed enough sheets to make roughly 12 more of these little troopers, would be a shame not to finish them.
