Re: Workshop : Designing without 3d programs

The wing :

1. Traced and cleaned

2. make sure to keep a gap between the wings for the fuselage

3 + 4. copy and paste like the tailwing

Next up : fuselage.

Re: Workshop : Designing without 3d programs

How come when you make the progress the lines become more choppy when they were nice and clean before?

Nice progression though I will give it a go soon

Re: Workshop : Designing without 3d programs

Good Q, I like to work small and use pixels instead of smooth lines.
I do this so I have no problem when painting the model.

Example :

the first object is with smooth lines, 2nd in pixels

Re: Workshop : Designing without 3d programs

How do you do the trace? By hand or use a straight line type tool?

Re: Workshop : Designing without 3d programs

I use straight and curbed lines, mostly straight.

I like to use red, that cleans up easyer when erasing in paint, I used to do that a lot, but it is very time consuming.
Nowadays I use paint.net and use a extra layer for tracking lines.
