how to make clear canopy?

I am still fairly new to the paper modeling world, but I absolutely love it. I am also fortunate enough to have a job where I am able to spend most of my day working on models (I am blessed). So now I am to the point where I am past learning the basics and want to get more detail oriented. I hate how a printed canopy can completely ruin the look of an otherwise very detailed model. Can someone make a tutorial on how to make clear canopys? I would love to learn this technique to make my models start looking nice. Thanks.
