lehcyfer -

This is very useful stuff. I am saving it, along with the Bomarc commentary along with previous information on rolling small tubes. I find this one of the more difficult aspects of the craft and am truly grateful for these very helpful tutorials -- and for your taking on the bullish job of translating the text so as to make it accessible to those of us with small to zero ability to read Polish.

Well - using Syzyf's method you are limited only in length of the inside former and your ruler - and if the length is ridiculous then you can form, cut and glue it bit by bit.

Read the text on the pictures - it is explained in details.

lehcyfer's tutorial and excellent photos take the mystery out of tube rolling, thank you lehcyfer, now I have a question about a different type of tube, rolling a tapered gun barrel, say for example a 37mm gun barrel on a Dreadnought. I have found a wonderful Russian Forum that most of the builds are of my favorite subjects, Dreadnoughts and I noticed the most excellent way the barrels taper and it looks as if the roll was twisted and not rolled as the norm is. Can you please show this method as well. Thanks, Rick:D

As for the other method I can do if you give a link - I have no idea what method and what russian forum are you talking about...
