I really enjoy watching you push the boundaries of what you can do with pure paper as a modelling medium. Please don't stop sharing what you are working on

Gil,

Whenever I check in here (not as frequent these days) I just about always open up whatever thread you've started. I always find them fascinating and thought provoking.

Yeah, But....,

Thanks to all for the support.

These things take a lot of time to think out. The sheer amount of failures amazes even me and makes me wonder about the motivations behind these activities.

I've decided that the more exotic articles are best kept out of the public domain because they are not pertinent to the average modeler. I've been thinking about publishing the more exotic items on a private, by invitation only site but haven't yet decided.

For the record, I am NOT a "card only" modeler. In fact, my most recent build (in January) was a wood model, and any of these sorts of tips and tricks just might get used some day!

Wow, that's some innovative thinking and creating. I can see potential of adapting the techniques for some of the earlier air cooled automotive engines. Actually if someone had just shown me the photo of your finished cylinder, my immediate thought would have been the barrel on a VW engine or a motorcycle. Thanks for sharing your processes.

Matter of Fact...,

I've been thinking early motorcycle engines through the golden age. I've been looking around for drawings for some time with little real luck. All the items for a realistic looking Indian in 1:8 scale are now in place. Just need good accurate drawings (and lots of pictures of course)...,

Are you kidding? Your tutorials are _fascinating_ reading. And even if you do come up with something many of us have never even dreamed of.... a lot of use WILL try out your methods.

This is neato stuff!

I'm still hanging for part 3. Wanna see it bad. : )
