Mechwarrior 4 : SuperNova Paper model

- This is a paper model of the SuperNova mech as seen in the PC game
MechWarrior 4 : Mercenaries Mektek add-on / expansion.

- This is the original in game model/mesh cleaned and unfolded in pepakura by me. Original model / texture done by Byron Masterson from the Mektek team.

- Paper model is scaled at 1/40 using MechWarrior 4 as reference scale.

- Included is the original in game TGA for those who want to create custom skins.

- You will need Pepakura Viewer to open and print the model.

- This model is free and never for sale.

Enjoy

NS : Big thanks to Byron who allowed me to make this paper model using his work.

Extra NS : The RAR archive contains an extra PDO which can be used to build a cockpit interior with see through canopy windows for the SuperNova.

See pictures within the archive. Big thanks to andersonmr34 who built the beta for the SuperNova. The build topic can be read here :

Extra Extra NS : I had to edit the textures for the left side of the model since they were flipped. There are now 5 textures you will need to apply when making customs skins. It really is easy. I re-named them to correspond to the texture name within pepakura. Just make sure you apply the correct skin to the correct parts in pepakura.

I got a few members asking how to create their own skins. Here is simple write down on how to use the TGA's to make your own skins.

1. Download Paint.net (free app)
2. Open the TGA in Paint.net
3. Create a new layer and paint it as you wish, or just paste your fav camo onto it.
4. Move the newly created layer to the bottom
5. Save the file as JPG and choose the flatten the image
6. Open Pepakura and apply the new texture from the texture menu

SAVE and PRINT
