This is a recolor of a previously free downloadable model of the Bellanca CH-300 Pacemaker 'Miss Veedol', into the CH-400 Skyrocket as used by the Philippine Aerial Taxi Company (PATCO) in the 1930s. Included are versions for NPC-9 and NPC-24 in PATCO livery as illustrated on preserved airline timetables. NPC-9 ('old number nine') was impressed into the FEAF 'bamboo fleet' that flew in supplies and personnel before the fall of Bataan in 1941.
The PATCO version didn't have the deep belly fuselage, but leaving off the chin radiator might improve the resemblance. Edit: 27 July 2019 Found a photo in the troopcarrier.org newsletter volume XVII that showed NC-10794/NPC-24 with the deep belly fuselage, which means the recolor is accurate for PATCO NPC-24. Edit: 8 August 2019 Uploaded 1:72 version of PATCO NPC-24 Bellanca CH-400 to match Stinson SR-5 Reliant and WACo EQC-6 kitbash models. |
