This is a recolor of the 1:300 Bell UH-1D Iroquois by Bruno Vanhecke into Philippine Air Force low visibility olive drab livery.
Due to the higher interest in the Huey I've added the earlier UH-1H version with 3 serial numbers in 1970s livery, and optional interior parts if desired. The fit of the new parts from PRModels' UH-1N are untested, so you're on your own. The Philippine UH-1Hs had older avionics and need the zigzag aerial along the tailboom sides for accuracy. One aircraft is from the Bubuyogs (Bumblebees) helicopter demonstration team, which included a UH-1H with a male face with mustache and mullet, a UH-1H with female face and bobbed hair and a BO-105CB with a clown face. Pictures show eyes and hair painted over the transparent panels but I didn't do that. The serial is conjectural (not visible from pictures) but based on the newest airframes available in 1977. The other 2 are from actual combat pictures from the 1970s, and can be configured as closed transports, open armed/unarmed transports or a closed rocket launcher. |
