1/600 scale model of USS Sterett, DD 407, a Benham class WW2 US Navy destroyer. This model is in Measure 32/11D, a medium disruptive camouflage scheme common in 1944 and 1945. This model is different from the same ship as it was in 1942. The last two torpedo mounts were traded for two more twin 40mm Bofors mounts. Sterett and Lang, DD 399, were modified in this way in anticipation of the invasion of Japan, where more AA would be more useful than torpedoes.
