Spacecraft for exploring beyond low-Earth orbit built from off-the-shelf components. Rather than an elegant, purpose built design this spacecraft demonstrates a quick-and-dirty space truck that could be built and flown within the decade - and probably within a reasonable budget.

It's also designed for a re-usable mission profile, with only the surface exploration lander and fuel needing replacement after each mission. We don't throw away a Saturn V and get back a little Apollo capsule on each trip.
