Update with instructions for simple model of the 1911 Curtiss Pusher used to make the first flights from a ship. Eugene Ely made the first naval aviation flights in January 1911 when he flew out to the USS Pensylvania in San Francisco Bay, landed on a specially built deck, then took off and returned to shore.
Firsts include the first flat top aircraft deck and arresting gear for landing (ropes across the landing area with sandbags tied on the end). Simple model with some instructions - best to treat it as a scratch build and do some research before building. Looking for comment and correction to drive updates. |
