Old Wheels
Recently, I build a couple of old papercrafts. All of them are from the 50' and all of them are french advertising models.
Do you know models like those in your country ? It will be great, if I could have some of them !! |

There are some Chick-Fil-A models available.
Probably the closest thing you will be able to find is Cereal box models. There are a few sites that have them. We don't have a site like Agence Eureka that compiles American classic advertising. At least I haven't found one. |

Back in the early/mid 1950s, most of the car dealerships had paper models for advertizing. I remember driving my dad nuts asking him to test drive a Studebaker so I could get the model they gave away....it was of a Studebaker dealership (complete with a maintenance dept and a working car elevator), along with about a half dozen cars, including some antiques. Unfortunately, the only place you can find them is occasionally on Ebay, and they don't go cheap.

Back in the 1950s, there was a model car on the back of every Weetabix carton. I couldn't stand the stuff, but I ate a pack every week just to get the models. I had dozens of them, but ... I seem to remember as a ten year old, I developed a fascination with fire ... and one at a time they all went up in smoke.
I do have a rather neat set of 25 Veteran cars, issued by Shell in France, that I gleened from a blog somewhere whilst surfing. PM an email address if anyone wants a copy. It's an 18.5mb file. Just checked ... they are still there if you want to go direct ... http://www.flickr.com/photos/taffeta...7616432813777/ Johnny. |

I believe Agence Eureka, whose Flickr account this is, is the source of the models that started this thread ...
