the circus automata (horse acrobats)
I think this one-sheet model came from this folder, if someone has the link please post. I couldn't quite figure out the gear supports so I made up my own. I also soaked the gears in crazy glue and turned them into hard plastic.

That was one sheet? Looks good. I have only done one automata model and it could have been much better. If I do another, I will have to remember to harden the gears

What a cool model! Nice cutting and assembly work!
Do you think you could add some LED "spotlights"? And maybe a micro-speaker, so you could play an appropriate mp3 (crowd sounds, music)?  I love vintage models, thank you for sharing the photos!

That turned out pretty good.
You should try the carousel from here: Wordpress Toy Shop Paper Automata You will need to color it, but it does look good when working. For some reason they have the horses going backwards in the video.
