Thanks everyone, for the positive support. It means a lot coming from you since you're the ones who know.

What does the 39 mean in PechaKucha 39?
Thumb Dog, the 39 means it's the 39th "Volume" of PechaKucha done in Chicago. My presentation was part of number 37. They do four a year here, more or less, with around a dozen presentations each time.

The time limit is great as it keeps everything moving along and even if you're bored by one, 6 minutes later there's a new one.

If you explore the site a little you'll be able to see PechaKuchas from all over the world on many many subjects.

Great job! A very informative introduction to paper modeling for the uninitiated. It's too bad questions aren't allowed. Although, you'd probably still be there if they were, LOL.

This is great! Thanks for sharing. You made a very nice presentation. I have two daughters that live in Chicago, so I sent them the link - maybe they'll be interested enough to attend vol. 40.

Hi Tom,
Marvelous presentation! I think a learned a lot in that 6 1/2 minutes that I was clueless about, like the various printing techniques. I love your sense of humor too!
Thanks for sharing.

Bob

That was fascinating. And that colorful vintage artwork is something.

Very interesting and great presentation. Covered a lot of territory in a short time.
Informative, too! You are full of knowledge.

Chaldane: if they haven't found out already, tell them that they're typically held at Martyr's, a very friendly music venue near Wrigleyville. Also, if they like beautiful stationery and writing supplies, my friend Bari Zaki has a wonderful shop across the street. Bari Zaki Studio

Thanks Tom, I'll let my daughters know.

Your friend's shop looks awesome! Next time I get to Chicago it will definitely be on my list of places to go.

Cheers, Corbin
