Allers Familie-Journal 'en Villa'

Enlarged it to be gaming scale. Enlarged the carriage porch because it was too narrow. Should have created a lightning rod for the tower.

Very nice. By gaming scale do you mean 28mm?

I like the way those old paper models go together. Some have great fit, some you need to alter in order to get them to fit correctly. In any case, the final product is good.

Hi All,

And hi, Vermin King. That's a handsome villa you built there, VK. The architectural style could place it anywhere from eastern Europe to somewhere in the New World...very convenient for gaming.

Did you widen your porte-cochčre to accommodate your up-armored Humvees?

Score and fold,

Thumb Dog

28mm scale.

Didn't really change the carriage porch to accommodate anything, but a straight enlargement left the end openings too small to put any figures in there, and it just looked wrong.

On my build, the tower roof had to be trimmed because it runs into the central roof. Not a big problem, but if you build this, be aware

I like the cobblestone drive, it's more interesting than the original. Here is my version in "N" scale (approximately).

Very nice. Approximate is a term that is frequent in Vintage models

I wasn't happy with the vertical 'steps' on the back porch, so while I was at it, I added the lightning rod on the tower and a cellar access
