Zeppelins Over Paris

Another vintage model showing a Zeppelin raid on Paris. Only four pieces. As presented it is approximately 5.4 in/13.7 cm wide X 4.4 in/11.2 cm high X 1.2 in/3.1 cm deep.

Here is a side view showing some structure:

On the left shows a woman hanging out of a window looking up with what appears to be a spyglass, a man playing a musical instrument, and someone either using some binoculars or raising his fist at the raiders:

On the right shows someone waving at the raiders and someone thumbing his nose at the raiders:

Another little piece of history about WWI.

Nice!

I built one of these once. It's a nice little diorama.

I like it Doug. Is it from Patricia's Agence Eureka website?

Elliot, yes one of Patricia M's sites. As of this posting it is on page 16 about 2/5 of the way down.

Don, yep nice little diorama. I fit it onto a A4 size page.

Thank you Doug. This and Thumb Dog's stuff is a bit of history I knew nothing about.

Chuck Davenport (cdavenport) also built this one. My report on my build is here:

Glad you built this diorama and brought it back to our attention.

I made one too. Can anyone explain why the figures don't seem in the least bit frightened? French sang-froid perhaps?
