Hotel and Stables

Going to try this vintage model. It has Lilleputby IV on the sheet.

I cleaned it up some. I believe it is one of the paper models published in Allers Familie Journal that you combine to make a town.
I sized it to fit on an A4 size page.
Cutting an gluing to commence soon.

Great little model Doug!

What paper thickness do you use?

Kevin, the cardstock I used is A4 size, 176 gsm, with a thickness of 0.198 mm as measured by my digital caliper.

Ground plan cut out.

It will probably be finished today... unless a squirrel runs by.

Here are various shots of the completed model:

The base is 97 mm X 87 mm. The height of the hotel is 73 mm. Nice small footprint.

Mighty pretty, sir. I probably should have done one of these for a break instead of my current frustration...

Thanks VK. It is a liitle thing in the scale I printed it. I can not recall page sizes in the magazine.
It had the usual slight misalignments that is prevalent in those old hand drawn models, but nothing too significant.

You know, during the lock-down, we should have staged something here encouraging folks to build various familie-journal models. That could have been fun
