Size Familien Journal?

Working on one of the robber knight fortresses published here recently, I cannot help wondering what size the magazine originally was. I printed it on A4, building no problem, but I do need a magnifting glass to decipher the part numbers. Any idea, anyone?

The Familie-Journal model pages that I download at what the website calls original size are 26.8 cm wide x 37.38 cm high which is around 10.5 inches x 14.75 inches.

I wonder - if you put that on screen at 100%
, the text is still very difficult to read. Isn't there anyone who has an original copy?

OK when I choose to download I get the following choices for the size to download:

Square 150 x 150
Small 283 x 400
Medium 566 x 800
Large 1448 x 2048
X-Large 3504 x 4956
Original 3504 x 4956

There is a large black area to the right and bottom of the image when downloaded.
Before the black is removed the dimensions of what is called original are 11.68 in x 16.52 in or 29.67 cm x 41.96 cm.

I get rid of the black area and get the dimensions of the page as stated in my post above. I do no scaling.

The resolution is 300 pixels/inch or 118.11 pixels/centimeter.
The trimmed graphic is 3109 pixels x 4419 pixels
The untrimmed graphic is 3504 pixels x 4956 pixels as shown in size choices above.

I am able to zoom in using Windows Photo Viewer or one of my graphics programs. All of the part numbers are easy to read when zoomed in. You could also zoom in on the graphic displayed on the web page and move around to read the part numbers and to transcribe the text to get a translation.

SCEtoAUX is correct... the originals I measured were 27x37.5cm. Perhaps the problem, Diderick, is that the resolution isn't high enough on the copy you have. Did you check the pixel dimensions to see if it's at or near 3000x4400?

No, I didn't - My magnifying glass was good enough. I just wondered - one would expect the printed text to be a bit larger...
Main thing: a fun model.
