Sweet little French tram...

For my last post of the year I thought I would share this electric tram from Jarville-Nancy. It probably dates from the turn of the last century.

My assistant, Alexandra, began the build and did and excellent job except for mistaking the steps for small gates. I corrected them and made a few other minor changes.

Happy New Year and let's hope it's a better one!

Hi All,

And hi, Tom and Alexandra. That's a fine looking tram you built there, Alexandra. While the publisher's application of watercolor looks like it was done after a fully equipped French lunch, those of us who appreciate vintage paper models always enjoy seeing these old kits given a new, well-built life.

The tram's Mairie-Place du Marche-Cathedrale route would have been quite short, as the three destinations are closely grouped together in the center of the City of Lights.

A Better New Year to Tom and Alexandra, and the same wish holds for fellow paper modelers around the world, too.

Score and fold,

Thumb Dog

Hi, Wire and Paper. I printed the scan of the original sheet at 125%, so the length of the built tram was just shy of 7 inches.
