A Fresh Start

Hello, all. Here's to a fresh start. Now for a test, my first picture post. This is my current nightmare, the Boeing Model 307 Stratoliner (hopefully to join Fiddler's Green's catalog one day soon.) I'm not a 3D modeler, and apparently not quite as good a 2D designer as I thought I was. While I have done a bit more since I took this picture, I've still got a ways to go. Boy those wing fairings are a pain! So has been getting the cockpit window outline flattened on to the cone pieces correctly, but I think I've got that one licked. Whew, got a bit wordy there. Now for the pic.

It works! I like it! I like the way the picture comes up as a thumbnail first. That way, if you're on a slow connection like I am, it won't take a week for a thread with a lot of pictures in it to load. There were a number of threads on the old Cardmodels that I couldn't look at because of so many large pictures that would never load correctly.

Scott K, Good grief! Did you actually design as well as build this Stratoliner? It is remarkable. Regards, Nick Filippone

Yes to both, glad you like it! I did cheat just a bit, the inboard nacelles and engines, and the outboard engines, are from John Dell's Y1B-17.
