Hello from Ohio
I have been building paper planes for many years. For the past 10 years I discovered the great kits from Poland and the vacuformed canopies ( what a difference.
I also entered many paper models in local IPMS ( plastic ) contests just so others can see what paper is all about ( I also build in plastic ). Looking forward to participate in the forum and learn some new techniques as well. |

In Cincinnati
Sorry for the distance, we are stil 4 hours away in the same state. Not aware of any other paper modeler here that is active builder.

I know of another papermodeler in Wellington, Ohio which is close to me.
We have exchanged correspondence but I have never met him in person. So far as I know, he is not a member of this forum. |

Welcome Isaac!
I live in Fairfield. I mostly design, but will occasionally build something (other than test building) to mix things up. Drop me a line and we can get together!

In Dublin
Hi Issac (and everyone else)...
I'm currently in Dublin, though, with the amount of modeling I've done lately, I don't know if I actually count as an 'active' modeler... I haven't actually taken knife to paper in about 6 months :( Jim |

Guys
Thanks for the replies. I will get back to you a bit later ( kind of checking this on the fly ). I have been modeling in paper for about 40 years or so. I sort of stopped about 8 years ago for 4 years, but then got back to it big time 2 years ago. Love it and building planes at a rate of 1 a month ( all in 1/33 scale ) and all with clear canopies. I will post later with specifics. later Isaac |

Welcome to the wonderful, varied, and cheap (inexpensive?) world of paper. Looking forward to pictures of some of your IPMS entries.

Pics of my planes entered at local IPMS contest
Guys
Here are some pics of the recent Cincinnati entries Oct 2, 2010. I entered into a Collection category with all the Polish air force planes and got second place out of 5 entries ( not too bad ). Beside myself, there is one other modeler in Dayton who does paper and he entered his paper aircraft carrier and won! Isaac |
