Welcome from Georgia

Hello all,
I'm John from Comer, GA. I like hobbies of all sorts having built and flown remote control helicopters, building wooden ship models, plastic models and the like. Recently I've taking up paper modeling again. I've worked on the following models:
-
"Make Your Own Working Paper Clock"
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0060910666/ref=oss_product
I started one of these years ago and never quite got it finished. I started another one this summer and the motor wheel and pinion are not quite 'round' <smile>. I've since bought two more copies of this book and am sure I'll have a working version soon.

"The Paper Architect: Fold-It-Yourself Buildings and Structures"
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/030745147X/ref=oss_product
I've been doing the models from this book for the past month or so and am really enjoying the cutting and folding. I am finding the tight curves difficult, but I am making progress in my techniques.

"Medieval Clock' by Wrebbit. I started this over 10 years ago, and got to about 95% complete last year. I haven't quite finished it but hope to finish this one soon as well.
Amazon.com: The Medieval Clock L'Horloge Medievale: Toys & Games

Because I like mechanical things, I'm considering the "V12 Four-Stroke Engine" model from Yee's Job:
V12 Engine Paper Model I think it is quite impressive.

I'm hoping to pickup some new skills and techniques, learn from others, and see what other kinds of models folks are building.
John

Welcome aboard. I see that you have a plan. Many of the models here are not as intricate as a working clock with their gears, but it means that you are thinking out of the box. Hope to see some of your future works here for us to enjoy as well. Enjoy, sit a while, take your shoes off and see you around the forums.
