Hello Everybody !!
Hi, Just introducing myself !
My Moniker on here is Batesyboy. I have written for model aviation magazines in England from time to time. I specialize in designing Flying models, mainly free flight rubber power. I have developed methods to convert paper models in to flying models. I am now in the process of reverse engineering some of my flying model designs in to Paper models. So far i`ve kept away from the obvious mainstream `done to death` designs..... My Halberstadt D2, and my Airco DH5 are in the pipeline....watch this space !!! Happy Christmas folks |

Oh yes. I used to do model aircraft as a boy but never had the money to get more than one - then left the hobby. ;-(
Can't wait to see your designs. And no need to worry about what you do. Whatever it is will be appreciated by one and all. Cheers Jim |

Hi Batesyboy,
Welcome to the site! I used to make balsa rubberband flyers. Real easy to design cardstock models for flight. What kind of stregnthers do you use when using rubberband power? A cardstock tube? Some of my models use a compressed air/rubber bladder to "jet" power them. Basically a modern day upgrade for the rubberband power. Best regards, Mike Bauer |
