Excellent. You may have already seen the Picture of the Week (POTW) By Mr Boats. We have many great Ship Builders here. Go look out Doris and see her work also. I am sure that nobody will mind me saying that she is a master at her craft.
Good luck and look forward to seeing you around. Cheers Jim |

Welcome Jazz, you have landed in a great port of call, especially for ship builders. I would second the DORIS recomendation, as well as STRK and of course Goldenbear's masterpieces.

thanks for the welcome
Have to say thanks for the strong welcome. I am from Halifax, NS Canada (land of ice hockey). Into model boat building for 15 years and currently finishing up on the Artesania Latina HMS Bounty (open sided hull version). This is my 4th boat. Previously made the AL Swift, Mamoli Britannia and AL Harvey in that order.
Pleased with the bounty but unfortunately have a big mistake due to a warped keel. Had originally taken the warp out and was keeping an eye on it during the initial build but somewhere along the line the warp returned. Think possible during the planking of the hull. Problem does show up on the finished boat. Have put it down to a learning mistake and will move on from there. Again, thanks for the welcome. Jazz |
