Hi Steve,
Welcome aboard. I have the Gloworm in my to-do pile (amongst others!). When I got it I also got the laser-cut parts, etch brass set, gun barrels and some fine chain, so I am looking forward to this build.
There are lots of freebies for you to hone you skills on, just download, print and practice to your heart's content.
Hope to see you around the forums with lots of pictures of your work.
Happy modelling
Bernie

Gloworm

Hi Bernie, thanks for that, i still have the etch and barrels for her, so if you have a need for them let me know. Cutting the frames is where i messed up, for whatever reason, does getting the laser cut frames make things easier?
Steve.

Welcome abord steve... You'll find that there are a number of ship builders here, as well as folks that bounce all over the place in about every model subject known to man...

I do have to ask though... Vancouver Canada or Vancouver Washington?

"does getting the laser cut frames make things easier?"

Yep, sure does. Although I haven't started it yet, but I have had a play with some of the parts and going by what I have seen people do here, it certainly takes out the tedium and capacity for mistakes. You certainly get your money's worth with them. Thank you for you kind offer, I'll keep you in mind whenever I make a start.
Cheers mate and happy modelling,
Bernie

Thanks for the welcome guys, i will get started on something soon, i have still got this nasty habit of trying to fill the house up with bits of plastic and resin, she who must be obeyed was not impressed when i got my card model stash out and tried to justify building in this medium as well!!!

H.M.S. Norfolk

I have never done a build report before, i tend to be a little shy about my models but i promise to dive in and open this one up to every one, i need to to get myself a new cutting mat purely for my paper models as the other one gets pretty battered with my plastic building.
