Congratulations
Congratulations to Ruben Andres and Curt Silvers for their category wins in the Swanny's Models WWI model contest. Ruben won the Best paper model category and Curt won the best tracked/wheeled vehicle category. 20% of the finished entries were paper models and the non-paper modelers were astounded by the quality of the paper model entries.

Don't forget that Jay's fine V108 torpedo/destroyer came in second in the paper model category. Also much thanks to Chris G. for alerting us about this contest. Finally thank you Rob for getting the very nice prizes out to us so quickly. The St. Charmond is a very detailed model of a unique subject.

My apology for leaving Jay out of my original post. His model was extremely well executed and his build thread was really interesting.

Thank you very much Rob.
As I said before, the contest was fun, and the best part of all was looking at the other models, sharing and learning from the other builders. It was a good and positive experience. And a good oportunity to share this kind of modeling with other community full of nice people. The forum at Swanny's is very nice. I'm glad Chris told us about the contest. Not just becuase there was an opportunity of participating, but because it was an opportinuty to meet more people and learn from them.
