Hi from the Arcitc North.

Hi,

Well to start me and my family have been up here for the past ten years as Baptist missionaries and have gone down to the lower 48 to visit family and supporting churches.
how I got interested in paper modeling a few years ago. Was by a book of homemade gliders a teacher that taught at the public school who comes to our church gave me. Then I started making my own gliders I wasn't satisfied. So I tried making a 3D Japanese zero which didn't turn out that great then latter I made 1/48 scale model USS Johnston DD 577 which was about 6 ft. long which I'll try putting pictures of it on here. Then about a year ago I searched on the internet for paper models and I came across fiddlers green
and about that time they had a free model of the Piper Cub and since then I've found various websites have built there models.

Hi JR,

Welcome to the forum!

Flew past Wainwright (30-miles east of) in Jan. 1987 while flying a Huey from Kotzebue to Barrow. Point Hope was almost an emergency stop, but the crewchief got out and cleaned the fuzz off of the chip detector...

Best regards,
Mike Bauer
