I am 54 years old and been modeling in plastics,wood ,steel and balsa free flight planes and remote cars,planes and boats. This is new to me,the only paper airplanes I ever made usually got me a trip to the princials office.

Welcome aboard! Paper/card is just another material to add to your skill set. It is cheap, easy to work with, non-toxic, and capable of taking whatever graphics your printer can support. Get the balance and aero right and card models will fly as well as any other model - and they're cheap enough to replace if (when?) needed.
